Finished watching this with my nonverbal and deaf son, he is now fired up to type and spell to communicate. The I-ASC has a needs based scholarship available too. 
  
The CPT code to try to get the  insurance to possibly pay for it is 92606 because it does not generate speech and covers caregiver training.
  
The evaluation code is 92605
  
For an AAC that generates speech: 
  
To get a DME company to pay for an AAC is E25110 and E2599.
  
The initial prescription for the device is 92618
  
1 hour evaluation, with a write up and suggestions is 92607.
  
Each 30 minute unit for follow up evaluations and suggestions is 92608

Best practices abd caregiver training is 92609
