Today marks, homeschooling year 3ish, for kiddo and home schooling year... 20 something for mom. Deaf Education is not my field of expertise. We are starting an new phase of this journey. SLP check. Ot, needed. New pediatrician check. Library card in the new town... tomorrow. Dinner in the crockpot... in process. Kiddo is making vegetable stew. Met with the Deaf Ed Proff at USAO. That was an adventure and a half. The Proff seemed very forgiving regarding the whole, Kiddo opening everything and exploring his office. Meeting with the SLP Proff at USAO tomorrow. Am I attending there... not yet. Next fall. This fall, pay off OSU and attend WGU to get back into the swing of school and get Kiddo used to me studying more. Goal: To raise a human who does not need to recover from their childhood, is capable and willing to live without supervision and is a functional member of society. "Budgeting skills training has begun. Kiddo will get up to $$$ for his allowance on Month and Date. Kiddo has to put their money away and pay their portion of the bills. This is the current money book. I'm working on setting up the "how much can you make doing xyz" and "how much gets docked for what behavior". Kiddo also has their quarter jar for extra cash that isn't on the to earn money list, ( when I run out of quarters they are out of opportunities to earn quarters." I got a text back from kiddos old #OT. PLEASE HAVE THIS CONVERSATION WITH YOUR CLIENTS and other PARENTS! WHEN YOU PLAN FOR PLAN B YOU DONT TEACH NEEDED SKILLS.
